Clean slate

Last week I gave my Watanabes to Grant at GT Refinishers to have my babies stripped of their beautiful pink sparkly coat. Thank-you for all your opinions (positive/negative - it's still cool that people care right?) but to be honest I don't know what is going to happen to them next... we will all have to wait and find out!



Since doing the whole pink thing (which I still LOVE!) I've just grown a bit bored of it and I've also seen so many white cars wearing pink wheels now and I just want to do something different. Also there are wheel manufacturers that are selling pink wheels in New Zealand now and to be honest I'm not a fan of these, so I wouldn't want to have a similar look. So there is my reasoning behind the change.



The Miatasaurus has been off the road for a little while now; I found out that I'd ruined my current CVs from having the car sitting at such a low ride height and would have to get them replaced at some stage. Once I've had this done and got the tyres back on the wheels things will be back in business, and I can't wait to show you guys my sweet new goodies from Project-G in America too!



The only downside of having an older model convertible is that in winter it becomes less desirable to drive, but of course that isn't going to make the MX-5 go into complete hibernation mode. I'm definitely looking forward to spring and the annual Jerkfest at Taupo to take the car out on the track once again!
